This policy explains how Sketch Nomad (“we”, “us” and “our”) handles information on sketchnomad.com and sketchnomad.app.

The short version

• Your artwork belongs to you. We never use it to train AI models.
• We ask your permission before using your artwork in marketing or beyond providing the service.
• We do not sell your personal information or share it for marketing.
• We use technical providers for accounts, storage, maps and usage analytics.
• Artist profiles are public. Sketch records have public and private settings, with the image-link limitation explained below.

What we collect and why

Account information. Your email address and sign-in information let you access your account. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic account information such as your name, email address and profile picture. We do not request access to your Google contacts.

Profile and content. We store the profile details, artwork, photos, sketch notes and other information you choose to add so we can provide the app’s features.

Location information. We store locations you attach to sketches. If you use your device’s location, your browser asks for permission. You can deny or withdraw that permission in your browser or device settings. This does not remove location tags you have already saved; edit or delete those separately.

Usage and technical information. Our services and providers process information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, page visits and interactions to deliver the service, understand its use and help identify errors or misuse.

Messages to us. If you contact support, we use your email address and message to respond and resolve your request. We may also contact you about your account, security or important service changes.

What other people can see

Artist profiles are public. Public sketch records, their images and location tags can be viewed by others and may appear in search engines.

Private sketch records are hidden from public listings. Image files currently use public links: anyone with a direct image link may still be able to view the image. A private record does not currently make its image link access-restricted. Do not upload sensitive images that require restricted access.

Other people may save or share copies of public content. Changing visibility or deleting a sketch cannot remove copies held independently by others.

Providers and data sharing

We use providers to operate and understand Sketch Nomad:

• Supabase: account sign-in, databases and file storage.
• Google: optional Google sign-in and Google Analytics for usage measurement.
• Mapbox: maps and location search. Using these features sends technical information and relevant map or search requests to Mapbox.

These providers process information needed for their services. Their processing may take place outside Singapore or your home country. Where required, we must ensure appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for marketing. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to address fraud, security incidents or threats to people’s safety. Public content is also visible as described above.

Cookies and browser storage

The app uses browser storage to keep you signed in and support its features. The website uses Google Analytics, and the app includes Google Analytics integration, to measure visits and interactions. Analytics may use cookies and identifiers.

You can manage cookies and site data in your browser. Clearing or blocking necessary storage may sign you out or affect features. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Your artwork and AI

We store and process your artwork only to provide Sketch Nomad, including creating thumbnails and displaying uploads. We ask for your permission before using it in marketing, social media or for other purposes beyond the service.

We never use your uploaded artwork to train AI models or give others permission to do so. This does not prevent third parties from independently copying material you make public.

Deletion and retention

You can edit your profile and delete sketches in the app. Sketch deletion removes the record and its stored images from the active service. If deletion fails, please retry or contact us.

To request account deletion, access to your information or a correction you cannot make yourself, email info@sketchnomad.com. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you.

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service, handle requests and meet legal obligations. Backups, logs or cached copies may remain temporarily after deletion; we do not promise immediate removal from every backup or cache. Information needed to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute may be retained for that purpose.

Your choices and rights

You can change sketch visibility, edit information you have added and control device-location permission. You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawing consent may prevent us from providing a feature that needs that information.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, receive a portable copy of your data, or complain to your local privacy regulator. In Singapore, the regulator is the Personal Data Protection Commission.

Younger users

Sketch Nomad is for people aged 13 and over, subject to any higher minimum age required locally. Users below the age of legal adulthood need a parent or guardian’s permission.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it. Where local law requires parental consent for an older child, that requirement also applies.

Security and changes

We use safeguards to protect information, but no online service can guarantee complete security. Contact us if you notice a privacy or security problem.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. For material changes, we will give notice through the service or by email before they take effect. When a change requires consent, we will ask for it.
